TESTIMONIAL
Cleanliness and security are key criteria for storage of household contents
An extensive refurbishment project involving the back half of their cottage being renovated led Phil Brown and his partner to use HomeStore for their furniture and personal possessions whilst the work was carried out.
The couple, who live with their dogs in a Suffolk village, needed somewhere secure and dry to house many of the items from the back part of their cottage, including almost 90 boxes of books.
Phil says: “Although we have been able to stay in our home during the refurbishment, living in the front part of the building, we had to empty the rooms before the building work could start.
“We looked at a number of local self-store options, including barns but were concerned about putting our furniture and possessions in buildings which were not as clean, dry or secure as we would like.
“I came across HomeStore by talking to a neighbour whose relative had used the facilities and so went along to take a look at its Bury St Edmunds facility.
“Immediately I felt comfortable with the cleanliness and secure conditions and the fact that, should we wish, we could have access 24 hours a day. This flexibility was helpful in terms of moving our things in and will be equally useful when we take everything back to the cottage on completion of the work.
“Flexibility over the length of our contract has also been appreciated, allowing us to use the storage facilities for as long as required – it will be around eight weeks in total. We have been very pleased with the service we have received and the HomeStore team has been extremely accommodating in providing just what we needed.”
