Delivery receipt service and easy access mean business for local company

A secure space to store goods, 24/7 access and the flexibility to increase the size of unit as your business grows are just three reasons why an Ipswich-based company has made the decision to use HomeStore.

Phil Sumpter runs three different businesses – a courier service through Parcelgiants Ltd, a removals and transport service between the Greek Islands and the UK and an import/export business. As he is out and about all day – and overseas for periods – having a secure unit with someone to take in deliveries, is essential.

He says: “After more than 18 years as a courier with a large company, I decided to set up my own business a few years ago and now have regular customers in East Anglia and beyond.

“In addition, I also established a removals service between Zante, one of the Greek islands and the UK, helping ex-pats and also taking out their post, parcels and items they can’t buy there on a regular basis. In conjunction with this, I also use the return journeys to import items such as furniture and specialist olive oil which I then sell in the UK.

“As well as the security and reception services, I also appreciate being able to access my unit at any time, night or day. I have one of the outside units at HomeStore’s Ipswich site and can draw my van up to load and unload.

“All in all, it’s a perfect solution for my type of businesses and I have been able to increase the space by moving to a larger unit as activity has increased, which is a huge bonus.”
