Secure storage solution helps mail order business to grow

Taking her business from a town centre shop to mail order meant that Tina Parker needed a safe and secure base to house her stock – and somewhere to manage deliveries and despatch.

When she closed her shop in Bury St Edmunds in July 2018, Tina remembered her sister using the HomeStore self-storage facility after moving house.

Tina says: “I’d had my shop for three years and business was good although it wasn’t in the perfect location for passing trade. As retail in our town centres has suffered in the last few years, so did my shop and footfall was definitely down.

“Going online with Enspire Gifts seemed the way forward, provided I had somewhere to store stock which I could access anytime I wanted. HomeStore seemed the ideal solution for me with its flexible rental agreements, secure units with insurance included and access 24/7. The option for the reception staff to receive goods when I was not there was also attractive.

“I now have one of the largest units there and a wide range of home accessories – mirrors, ornaments, lamps and pictures – which my growing customer base can order through the website. I promote the business through Facebook where I have more than 2000 followers.

“It’s an ideal solution for me and what really makes the difference is the great customer service. The friendly and helpful duo of Hana and Heidi make it a nice place to visit and they are always willing to assist in any way they can. HomeStore has definitely made the transition from retail to mail order an easy one and I am very grateful.”
